Melissa’s love for business started at a young age selling greeting cards and lemonade to everyone in her neighborhood. After four major, successful business ventures, one published book and a whirlwind tour as a championship ballroom dancer she went to the desert to rest and rejuvenate.
After a move to the great city of Memphis, Tennessee she immediately looked for her local chapter of eWomenNetwork and was shocked to find one didn’t exist. After careful research, Melissa found out that Memphis is leading the nation in the growth of women business over the last decade. According to howmuch.net Memphis ranks #1 with an impressive 121% growth!
Knowing the power of networking and the immeasurable support she had found through eWomenNetwork, founding a chapter in Memphis was not just exciting but a necessary step for Melissa. With time and energy to help other women reach their goals, she eagerly came on board and is now dedicated to the success of women in the Memphis area.
At a recent event Melissa shared her heart this way:
“Women are the pillars of our community and the resources we earn goes toward educating our young people, cleaning up our community and investing in our future. No wonder Dalai Lama said, ‘women have the capacity to lead us to a more peaceful world with compassion, affection and kindness".
