Everyone understands that networking is critical to success. However, networking is only a starting point. There are a number of other things you must do to distinguish yourself from others in your field, and become the go-to referral for your contacts. In this session, Alison discusses the techniques she uses in building relationships with her go-to referral sources, as well as the things she looks at in determining who she puts on her "short list" (her go-to list of advisors to whom she makes referrals).
· The difference between your contacts and your go-to advisors
· Strategically selecting your go-to advisors
· "Making the cut" - strategies for setting yourself apart from the competition
