Speaker Bio

Ms. Tong is the Founder and CEO of an award-winning multicultural video marketing and content production company, DuckPunk Productions, Inc. DuckPunk works with fortune 100 companies on TV commercial campaigns, digital content, Branded Entertainment, Public Service Announcements, as well as independent feature films and documentaries.

Besides directing and producing, Ms. Tong is a speaker and coach for “Dos and Don’ts for On-camera Presence” and “Finding, Speaking, and Marketing Your Big Why™”. Currently, Ms. Tong is hosting these seminars for So Cal Gas and Northrop Grumman for their WBEs and MBEs.

Prior to founding DuckPunk, Ms. Tong was a news anchor, reporter, and producer at the International Channel, one of the first TV satellite stations in the US. Her work in-front-of camera gave her an ‘unique’ eye and perspective on how to be powerful and engaging on camera. Her work behind-the-camera with big corporations led her to create and design the “why” workshop to build brand passion and loyalty for small business owners.

DuckPunk has won more awards for their work, such as the Clios, Addy, Telly, and many others from various film festivals from across the country. DuckPunk’s clients are Nissan, Verizon, CBS, and Wells Fargo, just to name a few. DuckPunk’s stellar record includes boosting sales for their clients to up to 110%.

Aside from client works, Ms. Tong also directs and produces documentaries. Her current project is a female cancer survivor documentary. The focus is on five women, all from a different ethnic background, to share how they heal themselves through unconventional methods on top of radiation, chemo, and surgery. She also wants to explore the idea of self-love, and the role it plays in the healing process. Her last film, TOUCH, enjoyed a limited release at AMC theaters and is now available on Netflix, iTunes, Amazon and Hulu.

Ms. Tong is a MFA graduate from the California Institute of the Arts. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, before moving to the US in 1991. Ms. Tong is passionate about women and social justice issues.
